Best Multi-Game Tables: 3 in 1 Pool and Game Tables
A 3 in 1 pool table is sold as one thing and comes in two quite different forms. One is a pool table with a two-piece top that flips between table tennis and dining, like the GoSports 8 ft or Barrington Prescott. The other is a game table that flips or swivels between pool, air hockey and table tennis, like the Fat Cat Pockey or RACK Triad. The first is a pool table that does other jobs. The second is an arcade cabinet that also plays pool.
Pick the family first, then the table. Below are the best multi-game tables in both groups, the small 4-in-1 and 5-in-1 tables for kids, how the switching mechanisms differ, and what an adult should insist on before buying any of them.
What a 3 in 1 pool table actually is
| Pool, table tennis and dining | Pool, air hockey and table tennis | |
|---|---|---|
| How it switches | A two-piece top lifts off for pool and flips between ping pong and dining | The whole playfield flips or swivels; a ping pong top goes over it |
| Pool side | A normal 7 or 8 ft table with drop pockets | About 7 ft, built into a cabinet that also holds a blower |
| Needs an outlet | No | Yes, for the air hockey blower |
| Examples | GoSports 8 ft, Barrington Prescott, Freetime Fun Westwood, Escalade's Atomic Hampton | Fat Cat Original Pockey, RACK Triad, Escalade's Atomic 84 in swivel |
| Pick it if | Pool is the main game and the table also has to seat dinner or homework | Kids want air hockey and nobody minds that each game is a compromise |
Searches for a billiard table 3 in 1 mostly mean the first column, and that's the version we'd buy for a family with teenagers or adults. If you only want two games, our pool table and ping pong combo guide and air hockey tables guide cover the 2-in-1 tables.

Best 3 in 1 pool tables (pool, ping pong and dining)
GoSports 8 ft 3-in-1: the most table for the space
Eight feet is rare in this category, and it's the reason to pick this one. The two-piece MDF top flips between table tennis and a dining surface and lifts off for pool with no tools. It weighs 320 pounds, which keeps the frame from walking across the floor, and GoSports recommends a room of at least 17 by 14 feet. The listing says assembly takes about 15 minutes; plan on longer and a second person. A 7 ft version exists for smaller rooms.
Freetime Fun Westwood 7 ft: the best-equipped pool side
The Westwood ships with the kit a league player would choose: K-66 cushions, 2.25 inch balls and two 58 inch cues, plus a dining top and the ping pong gear. The cabinet is engineered wood with a high-pressure melamine finish, 265 pounds, and Freetime Fun backs it for a year, the longest warranty listed among the three dining 3-in-1s here. Its listing gives a room size of 16 feet 11 inches by 12 feet 11 inches with standard cues.
Barrington Prescott 7 ft: benches and a caddy in the box
The Prescott's dining top doubles as the table tennis surface and rolls away on an included storage caddy, and padded benches come with it. The playfield is 73.875 by 36.125 inches under velvet cloth with 818 bumpers and drop pockets. Barrington asks for a 17 by 13.5 foot room and gives a 90-day warranty.
For a 3-in-1 that seats dinner every night, our dining pool tables guide goes deeper on height and seating, and covers Barrington's Slate-Tech step-up model.
Best 3 in 1 game tables with air hockey
Fat Cat Original Pockey: the classic flip table
The Pockey is the best-known pool, air hockey and table tennis table. Unlatch it and the playfield flips from pool to air hockey; a three-piece table tennis top drops over the frame. The air hockey side runs on an 80 CFM electric blower, which is the spec that separates real air hockey from the slide hockey on cheaper tables. The kit is complete: 2.25 inch balls, two 57 inch cues, four pushers and pucks, paddles and a net. The weak spot is the 30-day warranty, the shortest here.
RACK Triad: a swivel table with a longer warranty
The Triad swivels between games instead of flipping. It measures 82 by 44 by 32 inches, with a 3/4 inch MDF surface, woolen felt, K66 bumpers and steel legs, and RACK lists a limited lifetime warranty. Its Amazon rating was the lowest of our picks when we checked, so read recent reviews before you buy and keep the box until it's assembled and level.
Escalade's Atomic 84 inch swivel table is a third option in this style, with a 120V blower; it was $999.99 on Escalade's own store on October 15, 2026. For pool and air hockey alone, see our air hockey tables guide.
Small multi-game tables for kids
The 4 foot tables are a different product: a light base with stacking or swapping tops, sized for a playroom. The MD Sports 48 inch 5-in-1 covers billiards, table tennis, slide hockey, foosball and basketball in a 48.5 by 22.75 inch frame that weighs 48.5 pounds, so two kids can move it. The SereneLife 4-in-1 folds and has adjustable height, with ping pong, air hockey, pool and shuffleboard on a 4 by 2 foot top, and a one-year warranty.
Read the hockey line carefully at this size. MD Sports calls its game slide hockey, which means no fan. SereneLife lists air hockey, and its listing doesn't say whether there's a blower. Either is fine for a six-year-old; a kid who has played arcade air hockey will notice the difference.
Skip these for anyone taller than the table. The pool tops are toys, and a 4 foot ping pong surface is too short for a rally. For a kids' table that only plays pool, see best mini pool tables.
Flip, swivel, lift-off or stack: how they switch
| Mechanism | Examples | What you gain | What it costs you |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lift-off top | GoSports, Prescott, Westwood | A normal pool table underneath | The top needs a home when you play pool |
| Flip | Fat Cat Pockey | Two games live inside one cabinet | Latches and hinges to keep tight; the flip needs clear space around the table |
| Swivel | RACK Triad, Escalade Atomic | Fast switching, often with storage underneath | A pivot that has to stay tight for the pool side to stay level |
| Stacking tops | MD Sports 5-in-1, SereneLife | Many games for little money | Loose tops to store and small playing surfaces |
A table that is slow to switch ends up stuck on one game. If the household mostly plays pool, a lift-off top is the least annoying design, because the pool table is the resting state.
The best multi-game table for adults
Adults should buy by the pool side, because it's the game most likely to frustrate them. Four checks, all on the listing:
- Seven feet or more. Anything shorter is a kids' table, however it's marketed.
- 2.25 inch balls. Some combos ship 2 inch balls, which play and feel smaller.
- 57 or 58 inch cues. The 48 inch cues on small tables fit tight rooms and nothing else.
- Named cushions. K-66 on the Westwood, K66 on the Triad. Listings that only say bumpers tell you less.
By those checks, the Westwood and the GoSports 8 ft are the best multi-game tables for adults, and the Pockey if air hockey is a must. If pool really is the point, put the money into a slate table and add a ping pong top later; our conversion tops guide and best pool tables for home cover that route.
What games can you play on a combination game table besides pool?
On the tables we checked: table tennis, air hockey, slide hockey, foosball, mini basketball, shuffleboard, bowling, and dining or card play on a flat top. Larger kids' sets from other brands add chess, checkers and backgammon boards. Escalade also sells a folding table that combines billiards with poker and blackjack.
A few games are better bought on their own. Foosball on a combo is a short top with light rods, while a real foosball table is heavy for a reason. The same goes for shuffleboard and poker tables. Bumper pool tables sold as 3-in-1 are a different game on a smaller table; what bumper pool is explains it.
Room size and power
Size the room for the pool side. Brunswick calls for 13 by 16 feet around a 7 foot table with 58 inch cues, and 11.5 by 14.5 feet with 48 inch cues. The 3-in-1 makers ask for a little more: 16 feet 11 inches by 12 feet 11 inches for the Westwood, 17 by 13.5 feet for the Prescott and 17 by 14 feet for the GoSports 8 ft. Escalade's FAQ uses 13 by 16 feet for a 7 foot table.
Air hockey adds an outlet near the table; Escalade's FAQ says to check that the circuit can handle the blower plus any lights or electronic scoring. Flip tables need clear space beside the table to turn the playfield. Our room size guide has the full chart.
The honest tradeoffs
Every multi-game table on this page uses engineered wood or MDF. MDF plays well when it's new and level, and it reacts to humidity, so keep these tables out of damp basements and garages. Our slate vs MDF guide covers what changes over time, and slate thickness explains why almost no 3-in-1 is slate.
Warranties are short across the category. Escalade's FAQ says 90 days to a year is typical, and our picks run from Fat Cat's 30 days to Freetime Fun's year, with RACK's limited lifetime the outlier. Escalade puts assembly at about one to three hours for two people. Assemble the table in the room where it will live, level it before the first game, and check the level again after a few weeks.
If you buy one thing to make the pool side better, buy a decent cue: the house cues in combo kits are the weakest part of the box. Our cheap pool cues guide has picks.

What is a 3 in 1 pool table?
Usually a pool table with a two-piece top that flips between table tennis and dining, such as the GoSports or Barrington Prescott. The name is also used for flip and swivel tables that combine pool, air hockey and table tennis, such as the Fat Cat Pockey.
What is the best 3 in 1 game table?
For families with older kids or adults, a pool, table tennis and dining table such as the GoSports 8 ft or Freetime Fun Westwood. If air hockey is a must, the Fat Cat Original Pockey with its 80 CFM blower.
Do multi-game tables play real pool?
The 7 and 8 foot ones play recognizable pool on an MDF or engineered wood bed, slower and less true than slate. Kid-size 4 foot tables don't. Check for 2.25 inch balls and 57 or 58 inch cues.
Are 3 in 1 pool tables slate?
The ones on this page are not; they use MDF or engineered wood. Barrington's Slate-Tech 3-in-1 uses an engineered board, and real slate dining combos cost far more.
What is the best multi-game table for adults?
One with a 7 foot or larger pool side, 2.25 inch balls, full-length cues and named cushions. The Freetime Fun Westwood and GoSports 8 ft meet all four.
Are flip tables or top-swap tables better?
Lift-off tops leave a normal pool table underneath and are best if pool is the main game. Flip and swivel tables switch faster and store the second game inside, which suits households that change games often.
Does a multi-game table need an outlet?
Only if it has real air hockey. The blower plugs in, and Escalade advises checking that the circuit can handle it plus any lights or scoring.
How long does it take to assemble a multi-game table?
Escalade puts it at about one to three hours for two people. Assemble it in the room where it will stay, and level it before the first game.
